The joint project THInKI, run by Technische Universität Ilmenau and Friedrich Schiller University Jena, addresses the development of AI competencies for students and focuses on creating comprehensive teaching programs and content in the field of artificial intelligence across various departments of the participating universities. In addition to creating and further developing teaching materials, a certificate program is intended to give students and graduates from all fields of study the opportunity to acquire knowledge in the area of artificial intelligence.
Within this project, the field of Digital Humanities covers humanities-related topics and learning content. For example, how can text or image data be analyzed and researched using supervised or unsupervised machine learning methods? What opportunities do AI-based methods offer students for carrying out and realizing their own projects? And what opportunities arise from this in cooperation with cultural heritage institutions and for concrete professional work in the field of the humanities?
The Digital Humanities area is devoted to these topics as part of the joint THInKI project. Current information on this will be published on this page over the course of the project.
