Tagung: The Greek Heritage of Pontus

The Greek heritage of Pontus, rooted in northeastern Turkey, faces critical challenges, including the de-cline of definitely endangered Pontic Greek dialect. Our conference invites scholars to explore the lingu-istic, cultural, and historical dimensions of Pontic Greek heritage, focusing on the state of Pontic Greek in its place of origin and the diaspora, developments in Pontic music, and historical, ethnological, and diasporic perspectives on Pontic Greeks.
