Current Projects

Quantitative Laws of Valency and Case

  • Derivation of quantitative laws for linguistic units which are connected with valency, e.g. the number of arguments and the frequency of their omission (null instantiation).  For synthetic languages, case is the other side of the coin. Here, we find typical diversificational patterns of frequency distributions.

Morphological Tools for German

  • Development of add-ons to SMOR
  • Refurbishment of lexical databases
  • Derivation of a lexicon of morphological trees
  • Working on a morphological parser for German
  • Downloads at https://github.com/petrasteiner

Former Projects

  • Resource intense and data intense methods for robust fine grained sentiment analysis/ Ressourcen-intensive und Daten-intensive Methoden für Robuste Feinkörnige Sentiment-Analyse (RIMDIM)
  • Elektronische Lehr- und Lernressourcen: Regional and Social Varieties of English
  • FrameNet-Projekt (ISCI-Scholarship)
  • MULTEXT (Multilingual Text Tools and Corpora)
